Who We Are
Western Capital is a commercial loan consultant that partners with several private and hard money lenders nationwide who offer loans to investors that are often turned down by the traditional banking and credit markets. These relationships have been built over many years in the industry and now we are here to help our customers navigate the often intimidating lending process.
The team at Western Capital brings over 24 years of lending experience into every transaction. Not only are we able to help you with your financing needs, we are also experienced investors who have completed over 60 fix/flip projects and currently manage numerous rental units as income properties.

As experienced real estate investors who have bought and sold numerous properties in the last 2 decades, founding partners Travis and Akinyi Williams understand the constant struggle with lining up financing for real estate investment pursuits.
Western Capital was created because of the frustrations experienced working directly with lenders or brokers; from a lack of communication during the loan process where weeks would go by with no clarity on next steps, to inept loan officers lacking the knowledge needed to create solutions to fix and re-structure a loan, or to last-minute surprises that result in a loan falling through at the closing table.
This gap in service, created the need to launch Western Capital.

Leadership Team
Travis and Akinyi fully launched Western Capital in 2018. Travis has spent over twenty-five years as an investor in the private lending industry; primarily focused on residential and commercial real estate financing.
Prior to Western Capital, Travis held various roles in the real estate finance industry with experience working for AIG, GE Money, and Goldman Sachs. Travis has worked closely with business owners, lenders, brokers, title companies and contractors across a variety of sectors in the real estate industry including lending, investing, consumer, building products, and business and tech-enabled services.
Travis graduated from South Dakota State with a BS degree in Economics/Landscape Design & Architecture.
Travis and Akinyi launched Western Capital in 2018. Akinyi has spent over twenty years in the lending industry; primarily focused on residential and commercial real estate financing both as a real estate broker and mortgage consultant. Akinyi has worked closely with founders, management teams, and served on various boards of companies across the Real Estate, Healthcare and Education industry.
Most recently, Akinyi was a Senior Manager in the Management Consulting group at Accenture. Previously, she was a Director of Specialty Pharmacy programs at Fairview Health Services and a Senior Consultant at UnitedHealth Group. She began her career at American Summit Mortgage and Wells Fargo, working as Senior Credit Officer.
Akinyi received a Masters in Education from Harvard University in 2016. She also received an MBA from the University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Management in 2009.
